Mustang Trekking
Region at once was the protected area where no tourists
were allowed to
Visit in. in 1992, the government Opened the Mustang Trekking Route
route allowing the tourists to visit Mustang Trekking region which is
also known as mini Tibet situated in Nepal. Mustang Trekking Route, lies
at the Remote upper Region of Mustang District with it’s capital as Lo Manthang at 3750m, which is a walled complex with the local houses and
monasteries and which dates back to around 15th cantury to have the
second king in Nepal, in a single kingdom, sometimes ago. Mustang was
the former Buddhist kingdom of Lo, extended to the upper Kali Gandaki
River which makes the deepest gorge in the world, the Kali Gandaki Gorge
between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Culturally, Geographically, Naturally,
traditionally Mustang is considered as the part of Tibetan plateau with
Arid land, rocky hills, windy days, barren and deserthood climate. The
People inMustang Trekking region are believed to have been migrated from
the Tibetan part times ago. Hence, they are Influenced by the Tibetan
Culture, religion. Most of the people living in Mustang Trekking region
are Buddhist People. The housing, Monasteries, Chortens, and almost all
things seem to show the Tibetan Buddhist culture in this unique small
tranquil state having made with stones and Mud Bricks. People living in
Upper Mustang Originally are called Bhotias locally and those living in
Upper Mustang having migrated from Lo kingdom are called Lobas. Their
voices influence with Tibetan ones. Family living in this region are
religious in Nature, having many festivals and Tiji, the greatest one.
To get to Mustang Trekking Route or in other words, the city of culture
and art, People may take flight to Jomsom from Pokhara and hike for some
5 days. Or, a walk of around 7 days from Pokhara to Jomsom take the
tourists to Jomsom followed by Kagbeni which is the border trade center
of Mustang. People get in touch with the religion of Tingkar, Garfuk
Nifuk village, chele village, charang Village. When anyone trek around
and in Kagbeni area, they get to have guest houses or tea houses to get
accommodated in but Most of the parts in Upper Mustang Trekking Route
are in absence of accommodation service and trekker to those region need
to camp and sleep in tents. Obviously, a lack in management and
arrangement could make the good things worse. Hence, a reputed and
experienced guide, helpers, and team is required for trekking Operation
to Mustang Trekking region. |
