Jomsom Muktinath trekking is one of pilgrimage trek routes of Nepal. Muktinath Temple is a great pilgrimage venue dedicated to Lord Bishnu whereas the temple is important shrine for both Hindus and Buddhists. Jomsom Muktinath trekking itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Free evening in Kathmandu allowing free time to shop around. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The day drive to Pokhara passes all the way along the Trishuli River at its first part in which you will be able to see the most wonderful river flow with high rapids. Trishuli River is Nepal’s most popular Rafting River. In Addition, you will be able to see the green hills where springs jump at their restlessness to rock, birds flirt and the local have their daily lifestyle. Other part of the drive passes across a series of landscapes, hills, markets, cities, rivers and many settlements. Upon arrival to Pokhara, check in the hotel. You will be allowed to visit at your own around the Lake to see the reflecting lights in Lake Phewa just by the Lakeside. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 03: Early morning fly to Jomsom from Pokhara. Nilgiri Mountain spread in front of you. In the morning, sunrise in Nilgiri Mountain is just magnificent with painted mountain borders. Jomsom is famous trade center of the region with Gurung and Thakali Settlements. Drive in Jeep to Muktinath Temple the same day through almost arid land. Upon arrival to Mukatinath temple, free time to rest and explore around. Overnigth in Muktinath (3817mtrs.).
Day 04: Early morning, Muktinath Darshan, worship the incarnation of Bishnu which is meant to get you rid of the present live and peace in heaven. Muktinath temple is one of four most important shrines in India and Nepal for the Hindus. Drive back to Jomsom and overnight in Jomsom (2709mtrs.). You may wish to explore around Jomsom, and even can continue to Marpha which is famous trade center for Apple brandy, one of the most favorite in Nepal.
Day 05: Fly back from Jomsom to Pokhara. In the afternoon, you have plenty of time to explore then highlights of Pokhara including the Phewa Lake boating to explore another incarnation of Lord Bishnu; barahi temple, visit the world peace stupa, visit the davi’s falls, visit the Tibetan refugee center, Bindabisini temple etc. overnight in Pokhara with free evening to explore the Pokhara city at your own.
Day 06: Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara on this day. Retrace the way back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 07: Free morning in Kathmandu to shop around; drive to the airport for onward flight depending upon the flight time. Final Departure.
