Dolpo Trekking : Dolpo Lake is located in the western Nepal in the protected and conserved area of Shey-Phoksundo National Park. Shey Phoksundo National Park lies with an area of 3555 Sq. Kms in the western rain shadow area of the Himalayas. This region conserves pine, walnut, willow oak, poplar and cypress as local plants with co-operation in presence of ghoral, musk deer, leopard, wild dog, wolf, marmot, weasel, mouse hare, rhesus, langur monkeys and Snow leopard at high altitudes. Lying in influence of the Tibetan Plateau, the religion, culture, tradition etc. are classical Tibetan in this region. The region surrounded by the high mountain of Dhaulagiri and cut off by high passes almost all half of the total year. Dolpo region was no any trekking region before 1989, the announcement by the government in 1989, this region was Opened as trekker’s destiny as restricted trekking route. There are parts of this trekking route namely the Upper Dolpo and the Lower Dolpo. Lower Dolpo Trekking Region is easier as compared to that of Upper one. Generally this is camping trekking depending upon the places and heights the tourists reach to. A good Management and experienced Operator Operate trekking to these regions most often and trekking to those route would be a great memory to the tourists.
