Itinerary No. 01:
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Arrival at the Tribhuwan International airport, pick up by office representatives and transfer to the hotel in Thamel. Thamel is around 13 kms from the international airport and it takes around 20 minutes to drive from the airport to thamel. IF there is no traffic jam ( which often is there inside Kathmandu ) , it will be even faster to reach thamel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu. The sightseeing in Kathmandu on this day includes sightseeing in Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu durbar square etc. After breakfast on this day, leave for sightseeing inside Kathmandu. All the sightseeing spots you are going to visit today are World heritage sites. Drive first to Pashupatinath, The greatest temple and one of the four major destination for Hindu people of India and Nepal, after finishing Pashupatinath Temple, visit Boudhanath. Boudhanath Stupa is Nepal’s greatest stupa and is one of the biggest in Asia.
Monkey temple is located on a hill stop and is one of the oldest stupas in Kathmandu and the history of which is related to the creation of Kathmandu valley. After Monkey temple (swayambhunath Stupa ) , drive short to the Kathmandu Durbar Square and overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan. Chitwan lies at 158 kms southewest of Kathmandu and is one of the most visited sites in Nepal. The Chitwan National Park is one of world heritage sites listed by UNESCO. The way to Chitwan passes through hillside on the one side of which there is panoramic view of the Trishuli River and Narayani river, some trade centers on the way, villages, springs. Upon arrival to Chitwan, activities briefing by the nature guide and overnight in hotel. You have free time in the evening to visit around on your own.
Day 04: Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini. Lumbini lies at around 197kms away from Chitwan. The way to Lumbini from Chitwan is a plain land driving through the forests mostly. The way is straight to Lumbini, not many turns and takes around 4 hours to get to lumbini from Chitwan. Lumbini is a world heritage site listed by the UNESCO and is very famous for the Buddhist pilgrimage all around the world as it is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. In the protected area of Lumbini, you can see the footprints of Lord Buddha as well as many remnants of the history related to the Buddhism and the childhood of Lord Buddha.
Day 05: Drive from Lumbini to Pokhara. The way from Lumbini to Pokhara passes through Tansen, one of the famous touristic as well as one of turning historic place of Nepal. Tansen is one of the famous sightseeing place in Nepal, most of the tourists go to Tansen too see the Palpa Palace, which carries the history of 17th century of Nepal. Pass all the way along the hillside and overnight in Pokhara.
Day 06: Sightseeing in Pokhara. Early morning, drive from Pokhara to Sarangkot, Sarangkot is around 15 minutes walking distance form downtown pokhara. Hike to the top of Sarangkot to reach 1592 mtrs. And to view the sunrise view that strikes the mountains. The Mountain view from Sarangkot in the morning is panoramic. You can see the 180 degree mountain just in front of you including the Annapurnas, The Fishtail pinnacle of Machhapuchre, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri etc. Afternoon, boating in Phewa Lake, visit the barahi temple, visit the world peace stupa, the davi’s falls, the Gupteswor cave etc. Overnight in Pokhara with a free evening for shopping around in Pokhara.
Day 07: Drive to Kathmandu. Half of the way back to Kathmandu passes through a mixture of hills, rivers, villages, towns, rivers, landscapes till Mugling. After mugling, you are travelling the same way to chitwan from Kathmandu.
Day 08: Departure. Free time in the morning for shopping. Rest till the time of flight, transfer to the airport for flight onward.
Itinerary No. 02:
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu. Flight to Kathmandu is a spectacular moment with Himalayan range spread before you. You will land at Kathmandu airport and met by our tour office to transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples in Nepal. This is considered to be the biggest Shiva Temple in India and Nepal. Cremations along the bank of Bagmati River are carried out every day according to the Hindu rituals. People other than Nepali and Indian are not allowed to enter the Temple. Boudhanath Stupa lies as the biggest stupa in Nepal. The Shops, monasteries around the place make a different world with Buddhism followed. Swayambhunath Stupa lies at the top of a hill, there are a lot of monkeys in this temple to rename this as “monkey Temple”. View of Kathmandu valley is well seen from this top. Kathmandu Durbar square is an old palace complex related to Nepal’s history dating back to 17th century. World famous living goddess Kumari reside at Kumari Bahal at the southern shore of the complex. Temples and palaces make this place a visit worth place inside Kathmandu.
Day 03: Chitwan lies at 158 kms southwest of Kathmandu. To reach this place where wild lives dwell in the first national park of the country, one shall drive along the Trishuli River (or fly to Bharatpur). The country drive to Chitwan is interesting as it passes by along the trishuli River. The Ganesh Himal originated River is famous for river rafting adventures. More than half of the way is along the Trishuli River which later mixes in Narayani, another one of biggest rivers in Nepal.
Day 04: Early morning start with Tea / coffee at the hotel with some cookies. You are then driven to the Elephant Safari place in jeep / bus. While exploring the Forest in Chitwan on back of Elephants, you will see the Famous One -Horned Rhino, deers, Monkeys and luck permitting – The Royal Bengal Tiger and Bear.After breakfast, Dugout canoe in the Rapti River to see the Crocodiles, Many Birds and Aquatic animals. Elephant breeding center avails the encounter with baby elephants, take care of yourself, some of baby elephant can even attack you. Just be away of the bar there! After Elephant breeding center, cross the Rapti River again to drive back to the hotel. Have lunch and departure to Lumbini.
It’s a drive through all lowlands of Nepal. Before you are at Butwal, you pass through dense forest around almost an hour. After that passing through villages, cities and arrive Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha, light of ASIA.
Day 05: Early moring starts with breakfast at the hotel. Since you are already around Lumbini, after breakfast you can leave for visiting the holy lumbini Area, one of the world heritage sites formed by a combination of ancient and religious monuments: Ashoka Pillar, an ancient inscription, remnants of an old monastery, many images of Buddha & buddhas mother Maya Devi, Maya Devi pond where Buddha took the first bath after his birth, Mahayana monastery, Lumbini Garden, etc. Afternoon Drive to Tansen. From Lumbini you will first drive to Butwal, one of the busiest transit points in this region. From Butwal it’s all the curvy and winding way to Tansen passes along the hillside. It takes around 4 hours to reach Tansen from Lumbini.
Day 06: Drive from Tansen to Pokhara. Its around 3 hours drive passing through curvy roads where the driving cannot be speeded high. Narrow yet fine road to Pokhara avails views of landscapes, hills, springs and mountain ranges (weather permitting)
Day 07: An early morning wake up and short drive to the hill top near Pokhara avails you the one of the best sunrise views from the mountain and sun color painted over the Himalayas as you keep watching like a national geographic documentary. You will need to hike up in the mountain at around 45 minutes from the base of 1350m to 1592m. After driving back to the hotel and having breakfast, you will enjoy the most wonderful boating in Phewa Lake ending at the other Shore of Phewa Lake, you will hike around 30 minutes to reach the world peace stupa, acclaiming the world to make peace. You will now descent down to Chhorepatan, where the famous Davi’s fall jump downward to vanish the water exit from Phewa Lake which re – appears around 500 mtrs away. Gupteswor Cave is famous Hindu temple inside Cave. Visiting the Tibetan Refugee center will bring you view the Residence of Refugee, where shopping is famous too. Drive back to your hotel and the other time is allowed for buying souvenirs.
Day 08: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
