Chobhar is the place where Manjushree (The Chinese monk who had
settled the city in the valley) had cut a gorge and drained the water
of Kathmandu valley. It lies on the way to Dakshinkali. The sound of
roaring water in a narrow tunnel deep down to the gorge below the
suspension bridge is awful. It takes around 20 minutes to get to the
Chovar Gorge from central Kathmandu. it lies on the way to Dakshinkali
Temple which is regarded as the temple of goddess of Hindu as an image
of anger.
